AutoGraphs
With AutoGraphs, you can visually compare up to three vehicles by exterior dimensions, fuel economy, and performance. AutoGraphs uses the canvas HTML element to dynamically generate visual representations of automobile model information.
Because the canvas tag is not yet fully supported in all browsers, AutoGraphs can currently be fully experienced only in the latest versions of Safari and Firefox but does degrade to a simple tabular comparison in browsers without canvas and/or Javascript support.
AutoGraphs is currently under development, with code refactoring, full support for the Opera browser, and a larger database of vehicles all in the works.
OpenBox
OpenBox is an easy-to-implement in-page popup window, similar to the popular image gallery tool, Lightbox, except that OpenBox can present any type of content. OpenBox uses unobtrusive Javascript and is powered by the lightweight MooTools Javascript framework.
OpenBox is highly configurable and is targeted towards web designers who are comfortable with CSS and HTML and have a little exposure to Javascript (OpenBox does all the heavy lifting).

And now for the first-person, informal version...
I have been attracted to web design from the time I had my first (reliable) Internet access. Web programming was a great creative outlet with a non-existent learning curve (in those days) and it was extremely easy to share your work with friends. I was hooked.
While I spent my college years trying to figure out what to do with my life, I discovered a strong interest in product design. But after some long hours in the machine shop, I decided to use my trusty keyboard to pursue my goal. So here I am today, back to software design on the web.
I am currently working as a web developer for a SaaS company and I spend my spare time on these independent experiments. I hope to learn more about interaction design and to one day abstract myself from working only on the web.
